Thiago Alcântara is on verge of Manchester United move.

According to the Daily Star, the Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcântara is on the verge of completing a £17million to Old Trafford after the contract was agreed in principle.

Manchester United  has issues to address with their central midfield, as there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding that area.

Paul Scholes has now retired for a second time, Darren Fletcher is beginning his comeback from serious long-term health problems and Anderson has failed to realise his potential.

Signing him will add further quality to the Red Devils midfield and Manchester United fans will be expecting big things of the Spain Under-21 international.

The 22-year old Barcelona youth system graduate captained Spain’s Under-21 side to victory in the European Championship this summer and was impressive throughout the tournament.

Barcelona were desperate to keep Thiago at the club and were reportedly trying to convince him to sign a new contract with the spanish giants, though he is unhappy with the playing opportunities he is currently getting at Barca.
